The ancient gem of a town, Ragusa [ra’gu:za], sits on the southern end of the island of Sicily. The many classically designed Baroque buildings climb up the sides of three hills and feature sweeping views in every direction. While ornate decorations may be what we think of with Baroque architecture, it is actually an adherence to the simple oval that defines the design. Using a balance of curves and counter curves, the masters created a motif that establishes beauty, simplicity, and movement. The Ragusa Collection defined by a trendy and timeless design utilizes this simple Baroque motif of curves evoking beauty and motion while bringing the old world into the new.
